Typhoon Pedring Updates. Pedring continues to pour heavy rains and strong winds

Typhoon Pedring continues to pour heavy rains and unleash strong winds. According to weather news reports last night, Typhoon Pedring will pass through the National Capital Region (NCR) and Metro Manila. As a result, classes and government offices were suspended as of today.

Typhoon Pedring updates

DepEd, CHED and Malacañang has already suspended classes in all levels and government offices respectively. Typhoon Pedring is now capable of delivering a Signal Number 3 alert in affected areas. PAGASA says that it’s speed is from 140 up to 170 kilometers per hour as off September 27, earlier this morning.

Signal No. 2 affected Areas with speeds of 60-100 kph

  • Apayao
  • Aurora
  • Bataan
  • Bulacan
  • Cagayan
  • Isabela
  • Metro Manila
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Pampanga
  • Quirino
  • Tarlac
  • Zambales

Signal No. 1 affected Areas with speeds of 60-100 kph

  • Babuyan and Calayan Group of Islands
  • Batangas
  • Cavite
  • Laguna
  • Lubang Island
  • Northern Quezon including Polilio Island
  • Rizal

If you are in the Metro Manila/NCR area, you might be probably experiencing strong winds and floods right now. Some affected areas are also experiencing power outages because some power lines were toppled by Typhoon Pedring.

According to PAGASA Typhoon Pedring is not as strong as Typhoon Ondoy. In fact, Pedring is not even half of Ondoy.

Further news update says that Typhoon Pedring has weakened after it hit mountain part in the northern part of Luzon. PAGASA says that Bagyong Pedring is expected to exit Philippines by Wednesday noon. Below is a picture of Typhoon Pedrings path.
