Ryan Reynolds is the new Green Lantern

We all know Ryan Reynolds as a comedian, from his popular movie Van Wilder and some “serious” movie like Blade Trinity; This time Ryan Reynolds will be playing as Hal Jordan a.k.a The Green Lantern. That’s right, Ryan Reynolds is the new Green Lantern.

With this green ring comes great responsibility! A test pilot is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe. Green Lantern is an upcoming superhero film based on the DC comic book Green Lantern. The film will star Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, with Martin Campbell directing a script by Greg Berlanti and comic book writers Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim, which was subsequently rewritten by Michael Goldenberg. Green Lantern is scheduled to be released on June 17, 2011 in 3D.
