Philippine Civil Service Examination Schedule for 2011 Philippine Civil Service Commission has just released the schedule of the Civil Service Examination (Professional and Sub-professional) for 2011. A lot of people are waiting for these. And most are getting impatient already. At last here it is. There are only two Civil Service exams schedule for this year 2011.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced that conduct of the Career Service Professional and Career Service Subprofessional Paper-and-Pencil-Test examination for 2011.

The Schedule are as follows:

Apply now, applications are on a first-come first-served basis and applications will no longer be accepted before the deadline if the CSC Regional Office or Field Office has reached it’s target number. Applications will also not be accepted beyond the deadline date.

Question: What is the passing rate of the Civil Service Examinations?
Answer: Both the Career Service Professional and Career Service Subprofessional has a passing rate of 80.00%.

Questions: What are the scope of the Civil Service Examination (Professional and Subprofessional)?
Answer: Here is the scope of the examination and the number of items each type of exam.

Question: What will come out in the General Information type of exam?
Answer: The General Information test items shall include the following areas: Philippine Constitution, Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713), Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts, and Environment Management and Protection.

Question: Where can I get an application form?
Answer: You can download the prescribed application form or the CS Form No. 100, Revised 2008 here. But I would suggest you go to the nearest Civil Service Regional Office or Field Office to get an application form. Some Office use color coding to separate the Subprofessional applicants from the Professional applicants.

They (CSC personnel) says that it would take 2-3 months before the results will be released.

I do not have any idea. All I know is that Civil Service is not connected to any review centers in the whole country. But I could see some reviewers sold in book store. Even this reviewers are not accredited or affiliate or connected with the Civil Service Commission. I read that in their reminders. Hindi daw sila connected to any review centers or review books. Ang sa kanila is they just give the exam.

F. SCOPE OF EXAMINATION
Professional Level
In English and Filipino: vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic, and numerical reasoning.
Subprofessional Level
In English and Filipino: vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, clerical operations, and numerical reasoning.
Both levels of the examination will have general information questions on Philippine Constitution; Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R. A. 6713); peace and human rights issues and concepts; and environment management and protection.

I will make an examinee guide or should i call it examinee “survival” guide for october 16, 2011 cse-ppt examination soon. Hope it helps for future examinees. Good Luck!

For example sa RTU and Camp Crame, applicable po ba doon? No need to go to main office pa?

with regards to PPT pwede basta CSC Field Office or Regional Office. Hindi pa ako naka punta sa RTU or Camp Crame ns CSC office eh. pero yung CAT (computer assisted test) I think you have to go to CSC Central Office sa batansang pambansa complex. kasi dun lang kinoconduct ang CAT as of now. sila lang ang may CAT.

No need! if you passed a board examination (with 4 year course), under Republic Act 1080, you are automatically eligible. Your nurse license is equivalent to second level eligibility. Kung sa CS exam pa, CS professional na yan. You can apply na to any government position and use your nurse license as an eligibility. ^_^

Hindi po. CSC is not connected to any review centers nor they give any review materials. self study po yan. kaya wag kayo maniwala kung may magsabi na connected sila sa CSC tapos bigay sila ng leakage or review materials

“Career Service Professional is equivalent to second level eligibility, thus passers of CS Professional examination can apply for a government position up to second level position in the government. While, Career Service Subprofessional is equivalent to first level eligibility, thus passers of CS Subprofessional examination can apply for first level positions in the government. If you want to know the vacant jobs in the government in your area, you may inquire to the nearest Civil Service Field Office.”

so what is then the first level and second level eligibility..?

an undergrad cannot take professional level exam..?

First level eligibility usually ginagamit sa mga entry level positions like clerk or clerical ang nature ng position.
Second level, technical positions na po yan. up to director II positions.

An Undergrad can take any of the exam as long as he/she is a Filipino citizen, 18 and above, and no criminal records and not barred from taking any cs exams.

Hi Aeon!
Call the CSC Regional Office where you applied for the exam. They should be able to give you your rating. I’m pretty sure by now the certificates are also available since October 16 exam is nearing.

I think same lang pressure. But most people would prefer CAT since the results will be released earlier (possible within the day) and free from errors due to erasures and shadings.

Hi Alex! When did you take your Police Office exam?

The term “First level eligibility” is the general term for the eligiblity. Subprofessional and Barangay Official Eligiblity are all “First Level Eligiblities” Meaning, pare pareho lang ang equivalent nila, and you do not have to take the CS Subprofessional exam if you already have a barangay official eligibility.

Whereas, the CS Professional exam is a second level eligibility. Kung wala ka pa nito, you may apply for this one.
CS Professional, PD 907 (cum laude), Board passers (PRC, under RA 1080) are equivalent to second level eligibility.

Please note that the list in the CSC website is partial only -> “Online Notice of School Assignment of Qualified Applicants for the October 16, 2011 Career Service Examination – Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) per Testing Centers and from Regions 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, NCR, CARAGA and ARMM (Partial List Only)“. Dami din nagtataka. But I would suggest you call the CSC Regional Office where you applied para sigurado. Good luck!

I am already a Registered Nurse since 2010, but i just want to take the exam, hindi kc madaling mgapply ng any kind ng work pagnalamang RN ka.. so as much as possible gusto ko lng po i-take ung exam and if i fortunately pass it then un nlng ung ipangffront ko pg nghanap ako ng work na hindi related sa Nursing. pwede po ba ako mg-apply and mg-exam? Hi Ayra. As far as I know, hindi na pinapatake ng CS exams ang mga board passers. Yung pagkapasa mo ng nursing board exam is considered or equivalent to second level eligibility na. Or the CS professional exam. So you do not need to take the CS exam anymore. Hmmm kung in doubt ka check mo REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1080 – AN ACT DECLARING THE BAR AND BOARD
EXAMINATIONS AS CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATIONS. Kung hanapan ka ng agency na applayan mo ng Professional sabihin mo may nursing board ka na at equivalent na yan sa cs professional or second level eligibility according to RA 1080. Misan kasi yang mga tao sa Human Resource ng mga government agencies hindi nila alam yung mga eligibilities at mga equivalent nila. ang alam lang prof at sub.

Hi Vincent. I’m not sure. Ang pagkakaalam mo may date, I think starting 1998 or 1999 na equivalent na sa professional or second level eligibility and police officer exam. Para po maka sigurado kayo please call the exam division of the CSC near you. Yung exam division kasi nila ang incharge sa mga eligibilities.

I was elected SK Chairman in 1991 and served the barangay for more than 5 years since 1991 to 1996. I failed however to secure a certification from the Civil Service Commission that such stint as SK Chairman is equivalent to 1st level civil service eligibility. Now, I wonder if I can still claim from the CSC my Barangay Eligibility pursuant to RA 7160 considering that it has been over twenty years that have passed since I should have applied said Barangay Eligibility with the CSC. Is there a time limit or prescriptive period under CSC Rules to secure such Barangay Eligibility? Please and kindly enlighten me on this matter. Thanks a lot for your help.
