Is Pacquiao VS Mosley A Good Fight?

A lot of us might be wondering why Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley agreed to fight each other this coming May 7, 2011. If you check the twitter of Mosley, he said there that their fight (Pacquiao vs Mosley) is a sure thing, and it will happen on May 7, 2011 at Las Vegas, NV, MGM Grand Garden Arena. Manny is also looking forward to their match. It’s true that Pacquiao and/or Mosley will earn more from their up coming fight but do their fans care? Let’s see what their fans has to tell…

A survey has been going around whether Manny Pacquiao and Shame Mosley’s fans care about their match. The answer? Let’s what they have to say.

“Does anyone care about this fight?”
“Allegedly, Pacquiao is facing Mosley because he “supposedly” can make the most money fighting Mosley because “Casual Boxing fans know Mosley.” These “Casual Fans” supposedly know Mosley because of Mosley’s two fights with De La Hoya and his fight with Mayweather. They’re saying that only die hard boxing fans know Juan Manuel Marquez and Andre Berto, so there is not a lot of money to make there.”

“Another thing… One reason people like watching Pacquiao is because we LOVE to see him KNOCK PEOPLE OUT! Which sucks, because There is NO WAY that Pacquiao knocks out Mosley!!!
NO ONE EVER knocks out Mosley. I don’t think Mosley can be knocked out! Has anyone EVER even knocked Mosley down??? I’m pretty sure no one has!”

“So… the fans are left with a uncompetitive fight, where Manny will just punch poor Mosley for 12 uneventful rounds. Where Mosley’s only real chance is landing a BIG punch, which probably will not happen, and we KNOW there will be NO knockout, because PAC cannot knock out Mosley… and probably no one can.”

The TS also pointed out that there are many great fights available for Manny Pacquiao such as:
1. Juan Manuel Marquez
2. Andre Berto
3. The winner of Timothy Bradley and Devon Alexander
4. Sergio Martinez
5. Marcos Maidana

Now here are the responds that the TS got from his questions.

It is a huge disappointment.
However, given that Pacquiao was given the opportunity to choose between Mosley, Marquez, and Berto and he will most likely choose Mosley really raises questions. Why is the pound for pound best in the world choosing Mosley over the other guys? Why isn’t he taking on the toughest challenge of the 3 rather then the guy perceived as being past his prime especially since he will be 40 at fight time. This says allot.

This fight is a joke!!! Just like Margarito and Clottey. Dam Pacquiao is robbing he’s fans blind. Isnt this guy the #1 rated P4P? fighting a 40 year old. Wow!!!!

mosley does NOT deserve a fight vs pacquiao, and we as boxing fans deserve to see the best fight the best!! now i was defending pacquiao for the longest saying he would whoop mayweather, but now that mayweather is a coward and out of the question we as boxing fans should get to see pacquiao vs marquez!!! pacquiao is ducking marquez the same way mayweather is ducking pacquiao!! such a shame these promoters are only out for the quick buck instead of real boxing supremacy!!

I care. Manny has a number of matches prior to retiring, in the following order;
1. Mosley, let’s give the old man his retirement pay.
2. Marquez if he won’t demand 50/50 purse split
3. Berto if he wins in his next bout
4. Bradley if he got past Devon Alexander
5. Martinez if he maintains his status as an elite boxer
So you people just stop complaining. Manny will give you what you want. Me? I know what I want. Its Pacquiao vs. Mayweather. Too bad the boy would rather go to prison rather than fighting Manny.

Even though Mosley is older and bigger than Pacquiao, Shane Mosley might still be a threat to Pacquiao. Needless to say, Bob Arum has decided that Pacquiao vs Mosley will be a good fight and most probably they will earn a lot from this fight.
