How to earn money with Twitter?

This is a re-post from my other blog. I just pulled this out because it’s related to make money online. And I want to share this in my official blog site. The title I used from my other blog (http://whatswithjeff.0fees.net) was “How I Earned Money using Twitter”.
Okey so hear it goes:

Today I would like to share (especially for those who are new to affiliate marketing) how you can earn passive income using twitter.

Accounts Needed:
1. Twitter Account
2. *Auto Twitting Tools – not required but recommended
3. *Clickbank or any affiliate marketing site.
4. *Bit.ly (To shorten links)

*Note: There are a lot of affiliate marketing sites out there such as CJ, Paydotcom and etc. You can choose whatever you want.
*Note: Auto Twitting service such as FutureTweets.com and etc. There are many tools out there, just do your research
*Note: There are also a lot of shortening sites out there such as TinyUrl and etc. I preferably use Bit.ly

The process:

1. After signing up for a Twitter account. It is advisable to update your profile, change the background and customize your twitter profile account so that more and more people would like to follow you. Make your Twitter Profile Attractive

2. Find and follow as many people on Twitter. It’s either you find people using “Twitter Find people” or use Twitter directories such as WeFollow.com. But it is recommended to use twitter directories so that you can target specific demographic area and people in a particular niche of your choice.

Just remember to read the TOS in following people. Because aggressive following may lead to suspension of your account. There is a limit on how many people you can follow a day.

3. After two days (more or less) Unfollow people who are not following you back, people who have not updated their accounts or inactive tweeps. As much as possible we want active followers. People who really use twitter.

There are many ways how you can unfollow people. You can use paid services or the free ones. For now just use the free ones. There are also many free services out there but I used “Your Twitter Karma“. Just login using your Twitter Account and choose to display those you have followed and start unfollowing those who have not update their account in the past 5 days (the number of days also depends on you). After unfollowing make sure to display those people who follows you and follow them back.

Repeat these process until you have thousands and thousands of followers. The more followers the better. Remember our goal here is to have more Followers not Following. This is because the Tweets you have published will only be seen by your Followers and not the people you Follow.

4. Once you have setup you account in clickbank (as publisher, not as vendor) you can find products which you like to promote or “sell”. You can start by going to “MarketPlace” in clickbank and find the products you want to promote.

Get the Hoplink of the product you would like to promote.

Note: Make sure also to visit the Help Center and read the articles posted there. It will greatly help you in your affiliate marketing.

5. After you have signed up for shortening link service, like Bit.ly, shorten you Hoplinks. We do these because Hoplinks are long and tweets in Twitter have only limited number of characters like in text messages.

6. Now promote your products in Twitter. Tweet your shortened Hoplinks together with a short description or intro of the product. Don’t Just Tweet the link! There are two ways you can do this: It’s either you tweet it manually or use an automatic twitter service like Futuretweets and Tweet-U-Later and etc.

Advantage of Tweeting manually: you can avoid getting suspended due to full automation and or the likes

Disadvantages: you do the Tweeting “MANUALLY” if you get what i mean…

Advantages of Tweeting automatically: You can schedule your tweets and the service does it for you. You can set it and forget it.

Disadvantage: you might get suspended due to aggressive automatic tweeting.

In short don’t over do it. Just make sure to tweet in a not aggressive manner.
And do tweet regularly. what I mean is you do the tweeting manually in twitter. Just tweet anything, anything not related to affiliate marketing. Because there are people in twitter who does not follow people who just promote and sell products.

7. Just wait and pray for someone to click on your link and buy the product. BE VERY PATIENT! sometimes it will take weeks or even months for you to earn. This is not a get rich quick scheme. So patience is very important.
