This is the message of Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to Mayor Sara Duterte regarding the incident with Sheriff Abe Andres:
“Ayaw pangayo of pasaylo (Do not apologize!) I am proud of you. I congratulate you. Og mawa ka sa trabaho, ma-dismiss ka sa trabaho, ayaw kaguol (If you loose your job, don’t worry). Be proud of it because you were dismissed because you protected the people, especially the poor. If they disbar you, celebrate. Be happy with the thought that you were disbarred because you were furious over how they treated the people.”
“Tutal di man ka mamatay ug di ka abogado (Anyway, you will not die if you are no longer a lawyer). Pila pag sumbag nimo? Lima? Himoa’g ika-napu (How many punches were you able to throw, five? Make it ten.)” Rody Duterte said.
Rodrigo Duterte said that if Sara Duterte will be dismissed from service, he would still insist Sara to run for Mayor again the next election. Vice Mayor Duterte is convinced that if Sara runs for the second term, she will surely win.
According to Vice Mayor Rody Duterte, the people will vote Sara because the people of Davao City knows that Sara is willing to risk her title and position for the people.

“The demolition order is a result of decades of court battle over a plot of land, which residents claimed were verbally donated to them by the landowners sometime in 1950′s. But because there was no deed of donation, the heirs of the landowner, who has since died, refused to recognize the verbal donation.
After a long court battle, the settlers lost the case and Judge Emmanuel Carpio of the Regional Trial Court Branch 16 issued a writ of demolition on June 22, 2011 in favor of Davao Enterprise Corporation (Davencor).” – Suns Star Davao
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte asked for a two hour extension so that she can be there during the demolition. Sara Duterte had already talked to the people and was able to convince them to vacate and relocate the illegal settlers peacefully.
The people also volunteered to demolish the houses themselves so that they could use and recycle the materials when they are relocated. However Sheriff Abe Andres already caused a riot by insisting to continue the demolition despite the plead of Sara Duterte to delay the demolition just for two more hours.
