Civil Service Exam Schedule for 2011 UPDATED

January 25, 2011 UPDATED. Civil Service Exam Calendar is now available. See Schedule below…

Last year 2010, thousands of examinees hurdled the Civil Service Examination Paper and Pencil Test in the hopes to pass the Career Service Professional or Career Service Subprofessional Examination. Only a few passed the exams.

So for this year a lot of people are eager to know when will be the next Civil Service Exam. A lot of people want to take the CS exam; perhaps for promotion, permanent position in the government, or those who are encouraged/forced by their parents to take the Civil Service Examination.

Unfortunately the Schedule for Civil Service Examination for 2011 is not yet available. I think the Civil Service Commission is still planning properly when will be the next examination.

I will post the Civil Service Exam Schedule for 2011 as soon as it is available and update this post.

Foreign Service Officer Examination FSOE (Qualifying Test) – March 20, 2011
Penology Office Examination POE – March 20, 2011. Deadline for application February 28, 2011
Career Service Examination (Professional and Subprofessional) Paper and Pencil Test – May 22, 2011
Local Scholarship Program-Master’s Degree Course LSP-MDC – August14, 2011
Career Service Examination (Professional and Subprofessional) Paper and Pencil Test – October 16, 2011

Deadline of application is usually 45 days before the examination (For Professional and Subprofessional Examinations). Please inquire with the nearest Civil Service Commission Regional Office/Field Office for more details, requirements and instructions.

Well that’s what everybody is telling. But nope. This year’s CS exam wont be on March. It’s going to be on the dates I mentioned on the post (above). And deadline for the application will most probably be 45 days before the exam date. (Unless they change the schedule) Maybe the wrong information came from another site or it was not updated. As far as I can remember the last time the Civil Service conducted the CS exam during March was way back in 2009 or 2008.

Career Service Examination refers to the Professional and Subprofessional Examination.
While Civil Service Examination refers to the different examinations conducted by the Civil Service Commission.
Career Service exam is more specific while Civil Service Examination is general. Hindi lang kasi Professional at Subprofessional examinations ang kinaconduct ng Commission. Marami din iba. Ano pala po balak nyong applayan na exam?

Hi thanks for dropping by. Do you mean this website? I did not post any schedule for 2011 because it was not available yet. Were is everybody getting that March 29 schedule? A lot of people are asking me if the exam date is on March 29.
This year’s CS exam will be on May 22 and October 16. Another thing, CS exam for Professional and Subprofessional is always conducted on Sundays. March 29, 2011 is not a Sunday. May 22, 2011 and October 16, 2011 is a Sunday. Hope this clarify things out.

Hi! it depends. There are positions in the government that does not require you to be a college graduate. But it’s usually clerical positions. Better ask Civil Service Field Offices for bulletin of vacant positions and what are the qualification standards for the position. Thanks!

Hi! somebody ask me a question that he visited the CSC Office in their area and unfortunately they informed him that there is no schedule yet or he can not apply yet because there is no go signal or forms available yet.
I ask some exam personnel of CSC RO and they explained to me what happen. Okay so they actually have the schedule for the whole year. The CSC Regional Offices where already informed of the schedule for the whole year. Only the schedule.
But They could not still accept applications because they are still waiting for a memorandum or something from the CSC Central Office for the GO signal to accept applications, they have to finalized the forms, fees and other matters. Besides the exam for this year is still in May 22, 2011. That’s still a few months from now. Hope this clear things out. ^_^

Hi Pex, please inquire na lng po kayo sa CSC regional office na malapit sa inyo. But I doubt kung may ibibibay na sila na requirements and forms. Last time I check they are still waiting for a memorandum from CSC Central Office before they could accept applicants. TR? You mean transcript of records? Matagal na pong hindi nirerequire and TR. It does not matter whether you are a college graduate or not. As long as you are 18 yrs old you can take either professional of subprofessional.

Hi! I’m sorry but I don’t know any review centers located near you. When I took the exam I used CSAT reviewers but that was a long time ago. Some examinees also used similar reviewers. Oh by the way I also read from the CSC notice about review center and it says:

“The Civil Service Commission wishes to inform the public that it does not hold any review class neither does it publish nor distribute any reviewer or similar material for its various examinations including the career service professional and sub-Professional examinations
It has come to our attention that individuals or private organizations claiming to have links with the CSC offer their services for a fee or sell examination reviewers to guarantee passing the career service examinations.
The CSC earnestly asks the public to be vigilant against these unscrupulous people and to immediately report them to the CSC Office.”

To give you an idea what topics will com eout in the CS exams:

Professional Level
In English and Filipino: vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic, and numerical reasoning.
Subprofessional Level
In English and Filipino: vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, clerical operations, and numerical reasoning.
Both levels of the examination will have general information questions on Philippine Constitution; Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R. A. 6713); peace and human rights issues and concepts; and environment management and protection.
G. PASSING RATE: Eighty (80)

I suggest that you review using csat materials and other college aptitude tests. There are also CS Exam reviewers. But let me remind you that the civil service commission is not connected with any review centers or publishers of the reviewers you see in the market. Well that is what I saw in their notice to the public regarding reviewers and review center.

When I took my first CS exam I also failed it. (hehehe) fortunately I passed it the second time. My advice is to study, do some review, follow instructions and shade your answers properly. Answer only 1 per item.

Hi! Baka walk-in or yung computer assisted test and gina mean nila. CSE-CAT. Dun po yun sa Civil Service Commission Central Office sa batasang pambansa. Or sa CSC- Baguio. sila lang ang nagcoconduct ng computer assisted test. I’m not sure though kung everyday. You can visit http://www.csc.gov.ph and look for computer assisted test. or visit Civil Service Commission Examination, Recruitment and Placement Office sa batasang pambansa. Hi! I’m not sure. Better call the nearest CSC regional office first. Not all regions are allowed to accept and conduct LSP-MDC. I already applied for Prof. Civil Service Exam last May 22, 2011. unfortunately, i failed. It’s been 2 years since I graduated in college and it seems no one’s would like to hire me since I didn’t attended any exam yet in the past years. I thought anyone can be hired easily once they passed their interview without examination’s result. (( Then, I knew that I really need to pass the exam before applying in any companies available.

Hi Sam. What interview are you talking about? If you want enter the government service you really need a civil service eligibility. Some private companies also acknowledge or give additional points if you have a Civil service eligibility when you apply at their company.

It’s not easy to find job nowadays. In fact you have to be competitive so that companies would hire you.

Hope you can pass the CS exam this October (if your planning to take the exam again) and good luck in your job hunting! ^_^

hello. i just want to clarify something. i took the CSE-CAT last july 14 and failed. ask ko po kung pwede na ko kumuha ng CSE-PPT this coming october 16 under the same level – professional. they told me one cannot take another exam under the same level within 3 months, pero i dont know kung within 3 months since the exam day, or 3 months since the filing of application forms. ?? thanks!

Hi! Registration for CS exam (written) has already ended for this year. If you are in manila area you can try the Computer Assisted Exam in CSC Central Office at batasang pambansa complex. I think they offer it every week of every month.
You can go to a CSC office and ask for more details.

The October 16 is the last CS written exam for this year. If you want you can try the computer assisted exam at CSC Central Office Exam Office Batasan Pambansa Complex Diliman Quezon City.

The CSC is very strict when it comes to deadline. If you really want to take the CS exams you might as well try the Computer assisted Exam which the CSC Central office conducts monthly.

Computer Assisted Test for 2011? Only the CSC Central office gives computer assisted test. I think you can still apply for this year. I’m not sure if they are conducting it weekly or monthly. Contact CSC Central Office Examination Recruitment and Placement Office. Good luck!

Hi! Naku wala pong ganyan. Bawal yan. Very strict po ang CSC pag dating sa ganun. Punishable by law kung sino man ang nagleleak or tumakas ng testbooklet from a CS Examination. Advise ko lang use other reviewers. Dati gamit ko CSAT reviewer lang. Wala pong connection or accredited test centers at test materials ang CSC. kung meron kayo makita sa net or sa tabi tabi, hindi yan connected sa CSC.

Hi Ricaformentera. Deadline na po last September 1. I doubt if the CSC will accept your application. very strict sila when it comes to deadlines. If you are in NCR or Manila, why don’t you try the Computer Assisted Examination instead.

Gud pm, last monday oct.3,’11 pa ako nag-oonline para sa Notice of Assignment ko for oct.16’11 csc prof. exams pero ang sagot laging Applicat data not found until today, ganun pa rin ang result, hindi po ba, kami bibigyan ng Notice of Assignment at Permit kung hindi kami maka access sa online inquery base dun sa sinabi sa amin nun nag-apply kami wala na kaming matatangap na notice of assignment at sa on-line na kami magpprint ng Permit at Notice of Assignment.

Hi Linda, as far as I know kahit valid ID lang ang dala mo basta nasa masterlist ang pangalan mo, iadmit ka pa rin. Kasi partial list lang talaga yung nasa site ng CSC. I suggest you call the CSC Regional Office where you applied for the CS exam for your room and school assignment. Good luck!

Hi Hazel, CAT or the Computer assisted exam is, so far, the quickest way to take the CS Prof/Subprof exam. Other than that, it’s already written exam. Unfortunately CAT exams are only conducted in CSC Central Office.

This is in connection with my application for Civil Service Examination. I am suppose to take an exam for this month of October 2011 however, just want to inform you that until now of Oct. 5, 2011 I wasn’t able to receive any letter or Notice of Assignment from your good office. Hi Jay! As far as I know only the CSC Central office (ERPO) conducts the computer assisted exam. Visit mo n lang site ng CSC. www dot CSC dot gov dot ph.

I’ll be taking the Career Service Examination (Professional) Paper and Pencil Test this October 16, 2011. and until now i hindi q pa rin nare-receive ung test permit ko for the room assignment.. I’ve been trying to get a generated copy through their official website and with the help of different links for almost a week now but still no luck. it always say, “Failure to connect to web server”. please help, this coming Sunday na un, and im planning sana to check my room first in trece. thank you!

there are fields to need to fill in to know where your area is. print that notice, you’ll need it during the examination. good luck to us…and God bless…

@ Eligia Clemente> It is normal to commit mistakes especially if you are in a hurry and I suppose it was not intentional.. Since you rectified Mr. jeff, I think you need to be corrected also because you wrote here “ONLY A FEW PASS” which should have been ONLY A FEW PASSED the exams. In this case, the exam was done last year so your verb should be in its past form also. Before correcting others, you should learn how to correct yours. Good day!
